Happy Valentine’s Day! Before we jump into this look, I want to tell you one fun fact I just learned recently. Did you know that in Japan (as well as South Korea and Taiwan), they celebrate love/ gift-giving on two days in the year! The first is February 14th like the regular Valentine’s day except that it’s only women that give gifts to men on this day (typically chocolates). And then they have a day called ‘White Day’ which is exactly one month later, on March 14th, where men who received chocolates from women on Valentine’s day are expected to return the favor by giving the woman a gift that is three to four times the value of what she gave him. Typically the gifts are white, so by March stores are filled with white chocolates, candy, flowers, jewelry, etc. How exciting right? I thought, this is such a cool concept with an interesting history too. You can read more about it here.

Now, this post is birthed from a mix of being bored by the cliché red outfits for Valentine’s, and being intrigued by the idea of White Day. I’d say wear white on Valentine’s day because why not? If you must add a touch of red, lipstick is the perfect way to do so. This outfit is very casual chic. Casual because denim and chic because white blazer lol. I love how this snakeskin belt bag/pouch ties the outfit together while acting as an interesting detail. These patent boots are my fave fall/winter footwear if you haven’t noticed by now. They are so versatile. I’m yet to find one outfit that they don’t go well with.

How’s your valentine’s day going? Anything special planned? Would you wear white on Valentine’s day or are you red all the way? Leave me a comment!❤️

I’m Korean, so I knew about White Day, but I love your take and inspiration on it! You look great in white and it’s definitely a refreshing change from all the red and pink. Hope you have a chocolate filled Valentine’s Day!
    Have a blessed day!!
